FAZENDA SANTA IZABEL
Meet André Felipe Klein
André Felipe Klein is the president of the syndicate of rural producers of Santana do Araguaia and owner of the following four farms: Santa Izabel, Santa Tereza, Avaré e Vale do Sol. We are extremely excited to him join our journey to realize the Araguaia Biodiversity Corridor!
Fazenda Santa Fé was one of the first-ever farmers to partner with the Black Jaguar Foundation. Taking a leap of faith because they felt passionate about restoring nature and committing to our huge reforestation mission.
About the partnership
Fazenda Santa Izabel is located in Santana do Araguaia, Pará, and its main activities are agriculture including herding cattle.
André believes that farmers have a responsibility to feed the planet while also preserving it for future generations.
This is a big challenge, however with support from organizations that have the technical ecological restoration know-how, like the Black Jaguar Foundation, we can make it a reality.
At the Black Jaguar Foundation, we believe farmers should be at the forefront of ecological restoration. This partnership brings us one step closer to realizing the Araguaia Biodiversity Corridor!
Fazenda Santa Fé is the location where the initial planting of our first million native trees took place in October 2020. In total, we’re planting 80,000 trees here this planting season, from October 2020 – March 2021. See the map location of our restoration site below…
