About us

Its purpose consists of reconciling nature conservation with economic and social development, thus giving a true meaning to the word sustainability. In partnership with several actors from the public, private and civil society sectors , the thematic areas developed by IEP are: Sustainable Management, Protected Areas, Water, Forests and Climate, and Information Technology.
How we relate to the BJF
In September 2016, the BJF and IEP got acquainted at the IUCN World Conservation Congress, held in Hawaii. After new meetings in Brazil, the IEP joined the mission to realize the Araguaia Biodiversity Corridor. “We are assisting the Black Jaguar Foundation with our expertise in elaborating environmental projects, as well as our network, knowledge when it comes to fundraising, and project implementation strategies. This way we intend to combine our efforts and skills with those of the BJF to help set up a major reforestation initiative in Brazil.”
