We only have one project: The Araguaia Biodiversity Corridor. A large-scale ecological restoration project in Brazil. Biodiversity corridors, known as nature corridors, comprise restored and intact ‘islands’ of pristine nature.
Stretching over 2,600 kilometers and up to 40 kilometers wide along the Araguaia and Tocantins rivers, is stands as the longest nature corridor on Earth, connecting two crucial biomes: the Amazon rainforest and the Cerrado savanna.
Regrettably, 50% of the Cerrado and 25% of the Amazon have faced deforestation. But here’s where the magic happens: the corridor reunites the remaining natural habitats and fosters new pockets of restored nature, safeguarding numerous species from extinction.
This large-scale reforestation project will transform degraded land into thriving Amazon rainforest and Cerrado savanna, with millions of native trees taking root. These ecosystems will go on to have a positive and permanent influence on each of us and all future generations.
