ABOUT US
Throughout our history, we have supported organizations that contribute to more inclusive societies, within the causes of Education, Environment and Entrepreneurship. Our search for positive social and environmental transformation in the regions and communities where we operate, which are mainly in Brazil, is as important as financial return.
Our focus goes far beyond financial support. We share knowledge as well as our network so that projects can achieve more impactful results. We believe in the power of collaboration, and we promote it by supporting social organizations and mobilizing our collaborators to donate their time and talent to social projects. We are proud to see that our actions are contributing to the development and strengthening of society and the third sector. In 2021, we worked hard to expand our social legacy, and for the next few years, we will continue doing our best to make a difference in the lives of our customers, investors, collaborators, and suppliers.
HOW WE RELATE TO THE BJF
BTG Soma is an initiative started by BTG Pactual, the biggest investment bank in Latin America. It aims to support selected organisations in leadership and management, financial sustainability, and increasing their overall capabilities to make a positive impact.
In 2021, the BJF was chosen to participate in the program’s second edition. The BTG program included over 100 hours of capacity training, mentoring, and workshops revolving around marketing, strategic planning, business models, finance, impact evaluation, and generating capital and expansion proposals. These sessions were led by specialists in the field and volunteers working with BTG Pactual. Altogether, these contributed to social transformation and the generation of more sustainable and independent ecosystems.
